My friend has been hospitalized for over eight days and the insurance company has not shown interest in sending an updated Guarantee of Benefits form, even though they are aware that the patient will either be placed in jail or forced to stay in the hospital and wait even after being discharged (at her own expense, of course). I called today to speak to someone as I recently received medical bills equaling well over 2,000!! Michelle contacted insurance on a three way and fought for me as i'm 22 and a full time student. BCBS MAKES THE PHYSICIAN'S OFFICE WAIT AND UNACCEPTABLE LONG TIME TO GET TO A REPRESENTATIVE AND WHEN YOU REACH SOMEONE THEY REROUTE THE CALL TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!!...I REQUESTED AND AUTHORIZATION FOR A INPATIENT PROCEDURE, A FEW WEEKS PASSED BY, I CALLED TWICE AND WAS TOLD CASE WAS STILL PENDING... TO WHERE I HAD TO CHANGE THE SURGERY DATE. I am appalled at the lack of urgency and compassion from BCBS regarding filling my son's preventative inhaler. I recently had to change pharmacies, per our new policy with BCBC, strike 1. I dropped off his current medication at the pharmacy, which had 2 refills left, only to find out 3 days later that they were waiting for a prior authorization for this prescription. Signed up and paid in full for one year............it is March and I can't go to my doctors with this insurance. They have given me 3 sets of names of doctors I can switch to, lol I can't go to those either cause they are NOT on the list. According to BCBS they are! lol I also have to submit proof to The Affordable Health Care what my salary is or be cancelled in May. I already told them what I made last year....have no idea what I am going to make next year. I work 3 days days a week as a waitress, I am 64. I will be on medicare in 2016. ... Read more

I had Bladder Surgery at UACC Surgery Center, on October 29/20015. and this Bill still has not ben payed,I received another Bill today in the amount of $1.168.74, The Day of the Surgery I had a Co. Some one cancelled our insurance after cashing our checks...now my husband needs to go to the dr...and it is an emergency. But. We don't have any insurance that we have already paid for...thanx Blue Cross. Add comment

I had an issue with Dearborn national a company owned by your company.they are the most dishonest insurance company in the world. and if my long term disabilitydespite supporting statements from my doctor.I have always considered Blue Cross and honorable company until I tied up with Dearborn Blue Cross needs to take Dearborn to taskfor the many people that have been ripped offof their benefits Add comment

I had an insurance claim refused and called back to get clarity and asked the rep politely for her name. She refused and only gave me her first name. The issue is about blood work. My wife's doctor ordered the blood work for her yearly physical but the insurance blue cross blue *** refused to pay for some reason. How can these claims not be covered if her doctor deems it necessary to determine my wife's health? I got to the supervisor and asked for the manager, but got disconnect waiting.
